Why Mangroves Matter
Mangroves play a crucial role in maintaining the health of our environment. They support biodiversity, protect coastlines from erosion, and sequester carbon, helping to mitigate climate change.
Our initiative aligns with the Saudi Green Initiative and Vision 2030, demonstrating our commitment to sustainable development and environmental stewardship.
Red Sea Global is committed to involving the local community, students, NGOs, and partners in our mangrove planting initiative. By engaging these groups, we ensure that our efforts are inclusive and have a broad impact.
Our initiatives have seen participation from various sectors, contributing to the overall success and sustainability of our projects.
We are proud to work with a diverse group of partners who share our vision for a sustainable future.
Our collaboration with the National Center for Vegetation Cover, local communities, and various NGOs and private sector partners has been instrumental in driving this initiative forward.
Since the launch of our nursery, we have made significant strides in our mission. To date, we have transplanted over 1 million mangrove seedlings and are on track to propagate and transplant 1.5 million by the end of 2024.
Our nursery continues to expand, enabling us to meet our ambitious commitment to planting and enhancing the condition and habitats of around 50 million mangroves.
