- Landmark achievement sees MOSTADAM rating applied across all 169 residential buildings in AMAALA’s staff village, plus 42 buildings at The Red Sea
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 27 Aug 2026: Red Sea Global (RSG), the regenerative tourism developer, has achieved MOSTADAM Diamond certification across 169 buildings in its AMAALA staff village (grouped into 8 assets), with a further 42 buildings in The Red Sea (4 assets) also achieving MOSTADAM certification.
The achievement marks a major step forward in the scale at which RSG is applying Saudi Arabia’s national green building standards across its developments.
MOSTADAM assesses developments against a comprehensive set of sustainability considerations, including energy and water efficiency, renewable energy, health and comfort, connectivity and construction waste management. The framework supports the Kingdom’s ambition to create more sustainable, resource-efficient and high-quality built environments as part of Saudi Vision 2030.
All 169 residential buildings in AMAALA’s staff village achieved Diamond rating, the Kingdom’s highest MOSTADAM rating. This reflects RSG’s commitment to creating high-quality, sustainable communities for the people who live and work at its destinations.
At The Red Sea, the professional Beach Club and Turtle Bay Hotel achieved Diamond certification. Red Sea studio apartments, comprising 15 buildings, and Red Sea type Z, comprising 25 buildings, achieved Gold certification. Together, the certifications demonstrate RSG’s application of MOSTADAM standards across a diverse range of residential, hospitality and leisure assets at both destinations.
The achievements were formally recognized during a ceremony with the National Housing CompanyInnovation(NHCI), Represented by Zeyad Alaqel, CEO of Real Estate Services. NHCI presented RSG with 12 MOSTADAM certification plaques spanning projects across AMAALA and The Red Sea. The ceremony also recognized members of RSG’s design, construction and sustainability teams whose work and dedication contributed to delivering the certified assets.
AMAALA staff village had previously been recognized at the design stage through the Ajwad Initiative, a joint program by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Municipalities and Housing and the Quality of Life Program under Vision 2030. The initiative recognizes developers meeting high environmental and urban development standards.
The certifications come as RSG continues to scale the development and operation of its destinations, with The Red Sea now welcoming guests across 11 hotels and AMAALA having opened its first three resorts in 2026.
