- Report highlights initiatives that enhanced economic ,social and cultural opportunities for local communities throughout 2024
Riyadh, 25 Sep 2025 – Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer behind regenerative tourism destinations The Red Sea and AMAALA, has published today its inaugural Annual Community Development Report. The report captures a year rich with achievements and inspiring stories that have elevated the quality of life for people living near RSG’s destinations. It reflects the developer’s steadfast belief that true regeneration begins with people, and extends to economy and environment in a holistic balance.
In 2024, RSG delivered tangible impact across multiple fronts. A quarter (25%) of the company’s Saudi workforce now comes directly from communities local to its destinations. RSG’s programs also empowered local entrepreneurs to expand their businesses and strengthen their economic prospects, fueling regional growth.
On the social and cultural side, RSG launched initiatives that deepened community bonds. These included engaging residents in festive celebrations such as Eid events and during Saudi National Day, as well as supporting camel racing events that celebrate Saudi Arabia’s rich cultural heritage, coinciding with the “Year of the Camel.”
RSG firmly believes that the three pillars of regenerative development — community, economy, and environment — are the foundation for meaningful, lasting progress. Guided by this vision, its strategy centers on programs that carefully balance human needs with environmental stewardship and enhancement.
To ensure enduring impact, the company has also established a dedicated Impact Management and Evaluation Unit to measure the tangible and sustainable value generated for communities through every initiative.
The successes celebrated in this first report are the result of close collaboration with RSG’s partners, and the deep trust of the local communities that stand at the heart of its destinations. By working hand in hand, RSG continues to shape a future where people can thrive, and nature is protected—fully aligned with the ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030.
